KCS Procurement Services is a trading unit of Commercial Services whom are wholly owned by Kent County Council (KCC). Our roots can be traced back to 1902 when the stores department of KCC realised they could use a spare room and store books and equipment that were purchased in bulk. We are one of Europe’s largest public sector trading organisations, situated in a purpose built 100,000ft2 warehouse/office space in Aylesford.
As a member of the Central Buying Consortium (CBC) we can take advantage of the Economies of Scale that the collective CBC procurement spend of circa. £5,000m offers. The CBC was formed in 1991 and is a Public Sector Buying Organisation (PSBO) made up of 18 local authorities based broadly across the southern half of England. The authorities involved represent over 20% of the population in England.
All of our frameworks are National, fully OJEU compliant and adhere to the latest Public Contracts Regulations (2015). As well as being able to offer you full OJEU compliance and strong buying power, we provide Terms and Conditions that are designed specifically for the Public Sector to protect you, frameworks that are free and simple to access with full procurement support.
Our range of National frameworks encompass: Multifunctional Devices, IT Hardware, Interactive AV products, Software, Office Supplies, Furniture Projects, Vehicle Rental, Telephony & Frozen, Chilled and Ambient Food Supply.
